"It's funny, you work so hard, you do everything you can to get away from a place, and when you finally get your chance to leave, you find a reason to stay."

-"Gattaca"

Preeeetty much sums it up.

I just watched that today! Love the movie. I take it things are going well with you know what... ;) Good for you! Also, I wanted to tell you that it would be weird if you weren't at least a little bit disturbed by Slaughterhouse-5. I do hope that it made you question a few things that are so common in our society (and very detrimental to it.)

It's so true. That's my new favorite quote of the week.
Doesn't it just suck when that happens...? It makes me wish I'd been a recluse the last few months, and then I'd be in Holland right now and not missing anything at all.
And I'd get to spend Christmas in Australia, and weekends in Ireland, and London, and spend the next year of my life traveling Europe and living in a nice Holland apartment with a lovely nice little LDS girl.
But no, I had to start dating and go to school and start working and settle all in here, and now I'm "stuck."
Oh but I'm not, because I CHOSE to stay here, and if I were to do it all again, I'd do it the same way I just did.
