It is the first day of December, and it has yet to snow and stick.
Perhaps I will convert to global warming after all.*

*I still think Al Gore is ridiculous, and so is all of the political hype surrounding global warming.
Oh, and with that footnote, I just reminded myself of a thought.
Anyone else share my disbelief and anger that Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize?
Ridiculous.
Especially when people like Greg Mortenson were nominated.
Grrrr.

You know, I do think it is ridiculous that Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, especially on the premise that he WILL do something worthy of it. But, I'm not angry. In fact, I think it makes a very important point - that the world looks favorably on Barack Obama, which can only be a good thing.
And what's your deal with global warming? I mean, most science professors I know accept it. Share me some facts! :-)
Isn't the UN under investigation for exaggerating global warming? I still stand with you...a made up load of crap. We're just actually having a fall. winter doesn't start until dec 21st anyways, right?
and obama won over greg mortenson? that makes me want to vomit.

I would say there is a big difference between an exaggeration and a made up load of crap.
I wouldn't be surprised if global warming has been exaggerated, but that in itself is no proof that it does not exist.
I think it is kind of ridiculous that Obama won the Peace Prize (for future peace?), but I also think Nathan (whom I do not know) makes a good point.
As far as global-warming goes, (and this goes for a lot of my thoughts about issues) I'm pretty moderate. I don't think we're in immediate danger, but I don't think we can sustain the kind of behavior we have become so accustomed to.
I think it's a matter of personal behavioral change though, not of governmental legislation. Because that probably wouldn't work anyway.
I think I shouldn't get A's in the classes I haven't taken. My neighbor shouldn't be charged for a crime he didn't commit. Obamba shouldn't get the Nobel Peace Prize for what he hasn't done...
I'm with you guys, at the very least, its pre-mature. But I would rather see it go to people who have spent their lives making a positive difference in the world.
