a short thought (as if any of my posts have been substantial lately)

I think if I were only cooking for myself, I'd practically become a vegetarian-not because I think it's wrong to eat animals or anything. I just really hate cooking chicken.

haha! We rarely eat chicken and it's mostly because of that! But have you tried mel's sweet and sour chicken? so good. I was really nervous to make it but it actually worked. A meat thermometer has made all the difference in my chicken-cooking life. Also, Dave had really long borrowing periods when he was a grad student and it was even worse for me then too! ok...novel over. also, we should chat sometime! it's been a month or two since we've talked!

Ditto!!! I used to buy frozen chicken breast in bulk just because that's what everyone buys as their protein staple. I hate the defrosting part the most - so slimy! But I quickly dropped that and now rely on eggs, sausages, shrimp, and occasionally tofu. If I want to eat some really good meat dish, I eat out.

Buying, storing, and preparing any raw meat is not my favorite thing to do either. I am definitely a fan of the frozen portioned, trimmed, boneless skinless chicken breast. :)

I totally totally totally agree. Ew....

Having disposable gloves, bleach spray and clorox wipes helps me get through the nastiness.
