1) No, I don't know when I'm going to graduate, and no, I don't have any babies. Also, if everyone on Facebook could just stop doing actual adult things like buying houses and having a semblance of a career, that'd be great, thanks.
2) Medical training sucks, and I hate it.
ETA: alternate titles for this post include "the bitter 5th year of grad school", "yes, i'm a selfish, sad person who currently can't find happiness in anyone else's success", "intern year night float: worse than expected!", and probably most appropriate: "i need more sleep"

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time right now Katie. I understand how you feel when it seems like other people are progressing in their lives more than you are. I'm so amazed by all of the wonderful things you have done and are doing with your life!
Yes! I love the realness of this post. Get it all out, girl.
I'm a zillion years away from owning a house!!!!!!!! And I don't even want one!!!!! Too much work!!!! I'm with you in the un-adult camp (I even live with my parents, woot woot). Sorry it's so rough. Although it won't make the frustration/loneliness/never-ending school go away, sleep will help. Hang in there.
You guys are the best; thanks for your kind words! Suzy, you're right, sleep does help. I'm feeling a bit better and more hopeful.
Oh man, if I could take a bus out to Philly right now, I'd say we just make a big pot of chicken curry and watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long blog or something funny. Sending good thoughts your way!
Katie!!!! I know these words may NOT help, but Mark & I were married 12 years before we bought our first home and it was an AWESOME home!!! When you & Aaron buy yours~it will be beautiful and AWESOME and NOT a fixer upper!!!! You can totally look forward to that!! And I completely agree, medical training does suck!!!! I whole heartedly feel you there!! Sending you BIG hugs with LOTS of love!!!
